this hawai'ian holiday and king kamehameha day on june 11th are the only two holidays dedicated to royalty in the united states. say, aloha to my list of favorite hawai'ian words i can freely use in conversations. (with bonus definition and it's skillful use in a sentence!)
  1. mahalo - thanks - "mahalo for the snack!"
  2. puka - hole - "theres a puka in my shopping bag."
  3. pa'u - sarong - "everyone looks stunning in a pa'u."
  4. iki - small - "mahalo for telling me there is an iki puka in my pa'u."

that would be kokoleka as in "i'd love a mea 'ono kokolka!" (mea 'ono = delicious dessert.)

which should no be confused with "i 'apana pai nau?" (or as you would say "would you like a piece of pie?")
